When faced with a challenge at a precast plant in Newnan, GA, we devised a comprehensive solution. The issue stems from the inherent qualities of concrete—its thickness, moldability, and wetness, forming a perfect storm for product build-up and subsequent tracking issues.

Aiming to streamline operations, we introduced a vulcanized belt, accompanied by a belt pre-cleaner at the head pulley. This urethane blade efficiently scrapes the belt, minimizing product residue and drastically reducing build-up at critical points along the conveying system. The blade’s easy removal facilitates daily cleaning, ensuring the conveyor’s return area remains free of carry-back material.

The positive results were evident, leading the customer to schedule the same solution for another problematic system in their plant.
